Are the roads on the DS2 cover and the Microtac City Blocks
Illustration in the on-line catalog by Geohex or something else?

I want some roads like these.

I believe it's the CITY BLOX 1 & 2 listed in the Geo-Hex terrain system
add-ons section.

I've always wanted to have a DS2 game with my grunts stopping off at Jon's Bar
for a quick one (see the back cover of the rulesbook if you're

wonder what I'm talking about).

The roads are definitely from Geo-Hex.

How would you ever get them to leave again?

The ones on the DSII back cover photo, and in one of the inside shots, as well
as on the GZG online catalogue (Paul Owen's site), are not the GeoHex road
sets (though any shots on GeoHex's catalogue site probably DO use their
Citiblox sheets). The ones in the photos are actually a model railway
accessory - some Z gauge (approx. 1/220) flexible self-adhesive road
strip by a German firm (either Heki or Busch, can't remember which and the
packet is long gone!). It is a sort of thin foam tape that will accept gentle
curves (you can also buy packs of tighter curved bits for it, plus crossroads
etc.) and can be stuck down permanently on most surfaces. The GeoHex Citiblox
sets are fabric sheets printed with road and pavement pieces, which are
designed to be temporarily laid over your terrain system as you wish for each
game.

Tony spake thusly upon matters weighty:

Inform them that the Space Navy was planning to drop by.... (or maybe they'd
stay for a good barfight?)....

Hi Tim and everyone else on the list I guess this is a good time to plug
Adventurous Spirit. "AS" makes a range of high quality polyurethane rubber
roads and river systems called

Fexi-Trax. They exist in 3 scales 6mm, 15mm & 25mm are moulded in brown,

have a gravel road finish and paint up easily with a quick drybrush in
acrylics. Currently I don't have any OS retailers, but KR has samples in

the US and Jon has probably recieved his samples by about now in the UK.

For DS I would recommend the 6mm sets. There are 3 sets:
AS 59 Straight Set 6' long 1 1/4" wide, AS 60 Curve Set, AS 61 Junction
Set. Each set cost $20.00 Oz plus postage

For an unbiased opinion about the product contact Jon in the UK or KR in

the US. If anyone else would like a product list sent to them E:mail me
direct.

Regards to all

Busch seems to sell nice flexible roadway but I'm not sure its Z guage

Heki haven't woken up to the information superhighway (no web site)

I'll ask down the local railway shop.

Thanks for all the replies

Actually the photo is of some roadway available in model RR shops in the UK,
but it is a dead ringer for our City Blox Set 01, Streets and Highways. This
set contains straights, curves, intersections and crossroads, enough to make
over 15 feet of two lane blacktop. City Blox Set 02 is a 36" x 22" printed
cloth with 18 city blocks showing sidewalks and streets and compatible with
set 01. We've fought many
a town battle on these - they are ALWAYS nasty affairs, usually
decided by failure of morale!
