Subject: DS2 - Backup Systems Points Cost

Assuming I'm correct that when a target receives a systems hit, all his
systems stop working (FireCon, Guidance, ECM, PDS, Stealth etc) (Can someone
correct me if I'm wrong here)

Then when calculating the points cost for backup systems - it's 30% of
the total cost for what exactly. If the 30% takes into account the
guidance systems - how exactly do you work this out?

Thanks again

For a SD result in our games, we say that the target can't fire. Defensive
systems still work. It makes the game flow better, as there's no stopping and
altering records, trying to hastily work out what the new signature is, and so
on. We also disallow APSW fire (as that's offensive).

For our games, we assume that the 30% is for offensive weapons only, which are
fire Control only for main guns, and the full price for GMS.

I hope that helps!
