I was wondering if anyone has done anything with wierd fauna, or, what the
heck, flora in DSII.
I was noticing someone on eBay was selling Dragon Lords figs as 'microscale
miniatures' and realized that they were indeed about micro armor scale.
I had bought several, pretty cheap, at a game con, for a friend that had the
game and mentioned looking for more. Turned out he had plenty, I guess 'tween
the time he'd asked me and when I made it to Denver. Now, I'm looking for ways
of using them.

G'day,
> I was wondering if anyone has done anything with wierd fauna,
I've had a few thoughts with regard to incidentals and main protagonists.
Main opposition usually comes down to safari like hunts (but which one of you
turns out to be the sport is the question), while incidentals maybe more fun
in a general sense....
1) Mobile flora - ever seen your cover take flight ("Hey where is it
going?!"), or for that matter ever had you cover roost on your current
position... 2) Deadily cover ("Where's Smythe?"..."Well he was sitting over
there...")
- either carnivorous grove or 'classic' case of mistaking a maw for a
cave etc.
3) Toxic conditions - some swamp-like areas (for e.g.) could be off
limits to all unsealed groundtroops as they release CO (or something) 4)
Different movement penalties (looks like short enough grass until you realise
its sticky) 5) Septic conditions (if in that kind of cover and take a wound
then have to get medical treatment fast or its "goodnight Irene") 6) Ambush
predators (bit like deadily cover, but rather than your entire cover
considering you as lunch, more like boobytrap situation) 7) Is it just me or
did the Earth just move.... (i.e. usual cartoon situation of the hill you're
sitting on gets up and starts to wander
off).
8) Suppression due to wildlife (massive flocks of birds or bats will do it on
Earth)
9) Nets or hazards - not set up there to be lethal to human sized
things, but disconcerting enough to cause injury or suppression (e.g.
disturbing
the equivalent of rays/eels and getting 'shocked' or running into
complexes
of 'webs' or 'nests' (I've seen people get a green-ants nest down their
back while pushing through the scrub, or realising they just sat down in
the middle of a patch of scorpion territories and it ain't fun) -
especially if the troops are green or on edge.
Anyway just a few ideas, sorry they're not really more concrete.
