I _think_ the answer to the following is yes, but I want to
make sure.
May a ground unit fire at an air unit on its' turn? I'm not talking about LAD
or anything of that nature, just on the tanks activation may it fire at a unit
in the air if it is within range?
On a similar not, may the same unit use opportunity fire on a moving air unit?

Yes
Though remember while firing at air targets unless you have a dedicated anti
air fircon you take a die shift down for your fircon.
G'day Roger,
> May a ground unit fire at an air unit on its' turn? I'm
I take it you mean VTOL's as aerospace wouldn't be on the board if it isn't
there turn, right?
If yes then my gut reaction is that they'd have to be in low mode to be fired
at, but I may very well be wrong about that.
Cheers

Is this when they're in high mode? I know any element can fire on a air target
low mode. But I can't remember seeing anything about high mode. I assumed
that only LAD/ZAD could hit an air target in high mode
(otherwise what's the purpose of high mode?).

Only if the air unit is a VTOL at LOW altitude. Otherwise the only weapons
capable of firing at it are LAD and ADS, and both of those fire in the air
unit's activation.
(I assume that grounded VTOLs should also be targettable by ground unit
direct-fire weapons, but the rules don't actually say so... <g>

Same conditions as above.
