Hmmmmm.... I haven't the knowledge to agree or disagree.

Fast Aerospace and slow Aerospace? Or just buy stealth and PSB it as a higher
speed which makes the plane harder to hit....

Oh, ok. I htought you were referring to on-board close air support. I
agree that the offboard support options should include not just offboard arty
but also standoff air support.

Addressing this at the Onnboard tactical level only:

Well, for the time being, in DS II, it might be an effective stopgap measure.

True, which brings us back to the idea of different classes/speeds of
Aerospace craft with appropriate modifiers to their attacks and defense.

But an MDC mated to a dedicated ADFC should have plenty of velocity to catch
even a super-fast mover.

Well, the old Sprint missile system could do terminal interception of ICBM
warheads back in the late 70's and they come in at about Mach 12. Mind you, it
did use a (10?)KT warhead...

Patriot was hitting Scuds using conventional warheads back in '91, but they
don't come down at that sort of speed.

It's possible to argue that (given unfogged sensors) any BM is an easy,
predictable target but there's going to be strict limits on how much any
supersonic target can manoeuvre by, unless it has enormous power and a
complete disregard for aerodynamic forces. I thought we'd all just agreed that
Culture knife missiles are out of scope for Dirtside.
