We're about to do an order. Let you know how it goes!

Has anyone ordered from www.discountgames.com? They have very cheap prices,
almost too good to be true. All the FT, SG2, and DS2 minis at about 30% off!
No I don't work for them, I just want to know if it's safe to use.

Thanks,

I've used them with some mixed opinion. They are fairly cheap and claim they
can get almost anything. In practice I've had to do some leg work convincing
them they could get me what I wanted. In specific they tried to convince me
Stargrunt II was OOP, till I sent them a letter from geohex.

So, I would order from them again, but you have to be willing to exchange some
email with them to make sure everything goes right.

I bought some minis from them this year. No complaints.

They are prompt, very friendly, and if they find out that your shipping will
cost less for the same amount of time, they will send it the cheaper way. I've
even had them give me shipping free. And if you send it UPS ground and ask for
it, they sometimes will give you a tracking number. I've never had an order
take longer than 2 weeks, and I've never been shorted on anything. So, in
short, support these guys. Their prices are great and their service beats a
lot of places I've seen.

I have ordered a couple of times from Discount Games and found them to be
quick and reliable. It was slightly annoying that any backordered items were
automatically cancelled, so I had to reorder later if I wanted that item.

As an alternate source, I would recommend the Armchair Commanders at:

http://www.davlin.net/armchair/

They also offer a 30% discount on all miniatures, as well as terrain and
accessories. Their order size for free shipping is $50 ($5.00 shipping
otherwise). Their only disadvantage is that they are a bit slower than
Discount Games, though they hold orders indefinately,

The main reason they get almost all of business is their service. I have
written countless letters to them with all sorts of obscure questions and
requests and have always gotten a prompt and friendly reply. It's that
personal touch that I like best about the place.

Anyway, that's my $.02

I would also recommend Armchair Commanders. Their service is pretty good,
and they also sell computer games. I haven't seen _Tigers on the Prowl_
locally, but I was able to order it from AC.
