Subject: Dirtside "Army Packs"?

Directed to Jon for the most part but anyone could throw in their opinion as
well.

What are the chances of GZG creating "Army" packs for Dirtside? Maybe
"army" is a bad word -- perhaps company packs instead.

For example a mechanised infantry company would come with, say, 9 APCs and 18
stands of infantry (three platoons). Each platoon would include a command APC
with a small stand to represent the platoon leader.

Finally there would be a company command vehicle for the company commander and
a small stand to represent him.

Of course these company formations would be tied to nationality in the GZG
universe.

Please ignore this message...it was the original that I accidentally sent from
my work account and never made it to the list till now. Which is odd because
when I've done a dumb thing like this in the past the message would get
bounced.

<grumble grumble...stupid me>

Would the list admin please contact me off list so I can get my OLD work
address (dwalker AT syncreticsoft DOT com) off the list? It's a long story
dealing with domain name changes, etc. otherwise I'd do it myself. Thanks.

The problem I pointed out about which APC's would be in which nation's pack
hasn't been discussed. Also, should the size/mix be the same for each
nation?

Of course, different nations ARE identified on the infantry level.

I'm fairly certain people have shared ideas of how they saw the different
nation's TOE's at the company level might work. Anyone game for sticking their
heads up again?

I think it's a simple thing to do with rank and file type forces. Take modern
day US and UK force TOEs and extend it forward.

Three squads/vehicles per platoon or four?

What is the current Russian and Chinese TOE? Extend it.

Of course I'm sure it's *WAY* more complex than that.;)
