textfilter: chose text/plain from a multipart/alternative

Mike,

I just posted to firedrake, which is probably why. Ultimately, I've been
getting traffic on and off from both lists. There had been some discussion
about firedrake becoming 'the' list and I wasn't quite sure how that had
shaken out.

I'm not sure what people are generally doing - I'm listening to both,
but maybe some folks aren't.

I thought the general consensus was that Firedrake was going to be the main
channel do to the unreliability of the Berkeley base list.

When I replied to Tom's post about terrain stuff, I sent my reply to both the
Firedrake and the Berkeley lists. I have not received anything from the
Berkeley list for some time, other than the monthly admin note.

Thanks, I've been listening to both.

Thank you, Patrick Connaughton
