Subject: CRUD armies, reprise!
More suggestions: Don't define two sets of objectives. Or do, then define one objective privately per player on the CRUD army side. Make them contradictory perhaps. Make sure the player knows HIS objectives are more important than those of his side. (Make another player's leader look bad, see to it a competitor gets killed by the enemy, steal the gold yourself, etc) Another interesting one would be to take your orders, run them through Babelfish from your native language to a non-native language and back. That'll simulate poor language/communication/orders writing skills. Then part of the puzzle is deciphering your objectives!
