Anyone have a good "recent" link to download this? I have a print copy but
can't find the file

There is a copy in the files section of the Full Thrust group on
Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/fullthrust/

That group has been consistently active for a while with current discussions
on ship design programs, heavy missiles, plotting movement and more.

Oh, sure, rub my face in my luddite anti-FB stance...

Out of curiosity, is Jim Klein's group's extensions to XD there also?

For those of us with some eye issues, there's a 'Full Thrust' link at the
bottom, the link for the Orca article is there.

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~laranzu/fullthrust/orca.html

Couple of things come to mind...

I've recently heard Orca's included in the dolphin group, so I wonder if this
requires any rethinking.

Also, 'went west'? I've heard 'gone south' and 'gone north' in the US, but is
that something said in Oz? I'd love speculation on origins.

Grim bit of writing in there, Zoe. Love it.

Thanks!

And here I thought it was to do with Tolkien's work on Elves... ;->=

Whoops, stuck in [Draft]:

Truly, though, of course, I was referring to the elves sailing west to the
Undying Lands...

Obviously, a one way trip.

If it's early 19c, could be emigrating to the new world, as well. Heck of a
lot of folk went to the Americas, and were never heard from again. Even more
so in the 18c.
[I'd have thought if 'going west' meant heading to Oz, that should be
seen as a good thing. Except to indigents, of course...]

I wish we could still find it. I would love to read it again.

It must be important I sent it
