Subject: Counters for FT

Hello everyone. I have a question. Does anyone know of a game that uses six
sided counters as playing pieces. I have some old FASA Star Trek counters and
some AOG B5 Wars counters. These are almost what I am looking for, they are
six sided and numbered but not lettered. It is hard to keep them straight when
you have several ships numbered the same. I would like some that have a BB1,
DD2, CA4 designation on them, but it could be anything as long as the counter
had a number and letter designation. In fact if all the counters were
sequentialy numbered that would work as well. Thanks in advance. Yes I know
that I am supposed to be using miniatures.

Not offhand - I'd check out the various web games available
you might get some counter sets from those you could modify or make your own
with DTP, there are quite a few nice countersets for ftmap that are available
at the core and can be modified.

Hmm, 6 sided. I'm assuming that you mean hex shaped counters. I can tell you
that FASA's renegade legion stuff used 6 sided counters, well in a fold up box
shape anyway. What are you using them for, gasp not to fight your FT battles?
;) If you're interested I do have a spare set of these fold up box counters,
maybe we could trade for a few miniatures you obviously disdain.

The first edition of B5 Wars used numbered hex sided counters. The second
edition went for square ones though, which don't look as good. This of course
makes very little difference to me as the models are very good (and a Nova
class dreadnought or Omega Destroyer fits quite well into a NSL fleet).

Renegade Legion: Leviathan by Fasa used 6 sided counters. They were even sized
based on the ship size.
