All,
It was totally awesome seeing the gang again after a long hiatus. Had great
games, great laughs and great times as usual.
For those that played in Weight of Command that Los, TomB and Magic ran and I
assisted, here is the link to the planning board that we used in the months
leading up to this monster of a scenario. There, you can see the spiraling
decent into insanity that led to the actual game. The name of the forum is GZG
ECC 8. Clever, huh?

More AAR flavor to be written later... My only question about the Con is
how did I NOT play a Kravak in SOMETHING this go-around? :)

I don't think there was a game that featured any Kra'Vak. So you
got lucky. ;-) Maybe we can remedy this for you next year....

Now THAT is scary!
Gracias,
To bring this back on topic :-)
Guys, this is just frickin' incredible. How much time did you spend on putting
the whole sceanrio together? It was obviously well prepared, but seeing all
this is just incredible.

That was one of the special sheep that the party didn't quite get to: the
Futuristic Metallic Aggressor Sheep, who say "Baa your command."

I just don't know why you didn't take the logical step:
Sa'Vasku-controlled
Kra'Vak Zombie Pirates...
'Aar, pieces of brain, pieces of brain...'
Whoops, sorry, Alan. ;->=

Wow! Having just spent half an hour nosing thru your planning boards, I'm even
more eager to see AARs!
With transcripts & pictures! (I hope you saved the 'recon drone' & 'sat recon'
pics?)
Cool stuff, anyway; thanks for letting us look at your planning process.

Nick,
We worked on it sporadically over the course of 4 months or so. The message
board for planning was a great tool.

In addition Bob and I got together twice in person. One time we gamed out the
Special Forces actions (in 15mm using my Fallujah setup and troops) which was
very helpful in working out the mechanics of conducting an FMA style snatch
using stargrunt. The second time we worked through the other board (but
without minis just a map).
You can see that towards the end of the prep cycle, Tom had a very prolific
spurt of planning that was key.

Already starting to bat around next year.....

To be honest -- just after the briefing Aaron Newman and I were talking
(we were on Alpha board). And we both said "and this is going to end by
11:30?". I really thought you guys were shooting for the Carter Island
award.
Instead -- it was flawless.
I guess I should stop saying how great it was because I want to play in
whatever you do next year -- and it was tough enough to get into the
even this year before it filled!

Yes, bravo! bravo! on completing the event on time and in an excellent manner.
I dropped by their prep room to inform them that "wink, wink, nudge, nudge"
the Table 6 wasn't scheduled for any Sunday events, so "wink, wink, nudge,
nudge" if they needed it for Sunday, they could have the table.
:-)
Hmm is there a link to this I have missed???:S

Hi folks,
read the AAR reports, the Weight of Command game sounded like a blast.
I'll also be paying a good few visits to the planning website. Do you guys
intend to still finish the data exchange software? If so, what does one need
to do to get access to it, it sounds like it'd allow for a great many
opportunities. Whom do I blackmail, whatwith, etc?
Cheers,
