Subject: [COMMERCIAL] GZG NEWS!

This is a GZG information posting - hope no-one minds ....

Just to let everyone know that:

1) WE CAN NOW TAKE CREDIT CARDS!! We can take CC payments by mail or phone,
but for phone orders PLEASE only call us between 10am and 3pm, weekdays only,
UK TIME! The number is 01449 760575. If you get the answerphone, please DON'T
leave CC orders on it, but call back later. Usual rules apply, eg: we can only
send card orders out to the address of the cardholder, not to a third party.
Please note MINIMUM size of card orders is £10, due to processing costs. We
can take VISA,
MASTERCARD, DELTA and JCB - sorry, we can't take Switch.

2) The NEW 1998 CATALOGUE is now out! Price £1.50 (inc. post/packing)
if ordered seperately, or just £1 (post free) with other goods. For this year
it is an A4 size one, 20 pages, with lots of NEW (and clearer!) photos,
especially of new stuff. Overseas customers please send the usual 5 x IRCs in
lieu of payment.

IMPORTANT! Note to overseas customers: If you are from the USA, Canada or
S.America, please order from GEOHEX, not from us. We CAN sometimes supply
items that are not going to be produced by GeoHex, but please always check
with them first.
For customers in AUSTRALIA/NZ, the same applies to EUREKA MINIATURES.

Thanks,

Yes but can you accept orders from the US? As a distributor of your products,
Geohex is not cutting the mustard. (American slang which means they don't do a
good job, they have too many stock outs and it takes weeks to get items
shipped to customers).

The delays on getting new items into production in the US are partly down
to us (recently, anyway) being slow getting new masters out to KR - I
accept this, and we're trying to speed things up - and partly (as KR
posted a while back) that the US distribution system enforces LONG delays on
new releases even when they are technically "ready". As to stock levels and
turnround time for in-production items, I can't really comment - you'll
have to take this up with KR.

Our agreement with KR is that we can supply direct any items that he is NOT
(for whatever reason) going to be putting into production, but all items that
are actually in production (or shortly going to be) in the US really must be
ordered from GH as sole distributor and licensee. I suggest you talk to them
re: the latest release schedule, especially as we've just sent a huge parcel
of new stuff out there (bringing things virtually up to date as of January);
they should be able to tell you what will be out when, and hopefully help you
re: delivery on other stuff as well.

I have the 1997 catalog ( I think), so if I order somethings from that with a
statement to the fact that the prices may have changed, would that be good
enough,

OR

do I have to order and wait for a new catalogue?

OR

Are the new proces on line? I didn't note the URL

Jon (GZG)

Geohex can be slow if you deal with them direct, but thats not their main
method of business. K.R does a good job of trying to keep distributors up to
date with product. While some distributors don't carry the full line of GZG
products, others do.

If anyone is having problems getting GZG/Geohex products, lean on your
local game store. That's why were here. Any store can get any of these product
with a little effort if the item is still in production.

You can, of course, email your order if you wish.

I'll have to remember to write "pounds" instead of using the symbol in
email - it comes out as "=A3"! Should read 1.50 pounds.
> I have the 1997 catalog ( I think) , so if I order somethings from

Yes, that us fine - if you have the yellow '97 catalogue then prices are
correct anyway, it is only the latest releases you'll be missing.
> OR

They should be soon. Am giving Paul Owen a disk with all the new cat and
piccies on this Sunday.

Right, that is the early '97 (pre-increase) one then - you can still
oirder stuff from it, and we'll adjust to current prices when we bill your
card.
The good bit is that you get to order VAT-free anyway, so you'll be
paying less than UK or European customers!! (That is, unless Japanese customs
bills you duties/tax on the way in).
