Giving you dissidents a colony ship and the equivalent of a cow and a plough
(if Amish that will do nicely) and dumping them on an out of way planet seems
like a nice way of disposing of them (in the short term). Very pilgrim
fathers. It depends on the politics and the rarity of suitable planets of
course but it might explain some of the odd minor empires postulated for the
Tuffeyverse. Though really they would need more time to develop.

rewrote that page--I have been referring to them interchangably as Free
Ukrainians and Russ. Not hard to see my inspiration. With it's penchant for
anachronism, that's how the NRE refers to the Free Ukrainians. I just went
through it and I think I cleaned up the correct spelling.

flag is blue and yellow, the capital is New Kiev, the current leader is ethnic
Ukrainian, with a Swede taking the number two spot. Provides a significant
percentage of Varangian Guard for NRE. Anything beyond that, feel free to make
