We are running a Star Grunt/Full Thrust demo based on a campaign that we are running in Melbourne. The events will run over the three days with both games running each session. All models are supplied so all you need to bring is a warm body, JOLT and $5 a day. Slim [quoted original message omitted]

Pay $5 per day to play and maybe earn some GZG-related prizes. Minis and scenery supplied. I'm signing off the list now as I have to get home to pack my gear ready for the drive to Canberra tomorrow. For those of you on this list, I'll see you at the Con with any luck! Byeeee.

Hi Darryl, Well for starters there is a Full Thrust Competition. Details for which I don't have at hand. There is also a participation mini-campaign for people who can only attend one or two days but still wnat a few games. Here is a repost of what I put to the list earlier this week... We are really catering for Stargrunt and Full Thrust but the blurb in the Cancon flyer included Dirtside....fielding the minis is proving diffucult since we have promised to supply all minis. Don't suppose anyone has 90 Inf bases and 57 APCs spare???? That's just for the ESU/IC.....OU we have covered without problems. Cheers, Owen ************************************************************************ **** ***** Just another reminder that at CANCON (Canberra Oz, 22 to 24 Jan 2000) next weekend, we'll be playing out a three day SG and FT participation campaign. There will be morning and afternoon games and on Sunday evening a big SG game through the evening. Those interested can play only one day of the three, two days or the whole three. We're asking a $5-00 a day fee most of which will go back to players in prizes (GZG minis actually)for each day. All miniatures are supplied, any and everyone is welcome and you can register on the morning of each day if you so desire. This way people who might not be able to attend the whole weekend can still get some gaming in! Paul O'Grady has started putting up the background to our mini campaign (from which the CANCON games will be drawn from) on a web page, whcih can be found here...... http://www.esperance.homestead.com/home.html As with most web pages, it is in it's formative stage and will be a work in progress for most of its life! We will be putting up battle reports, AAR and images after we get back from CANCON.... ************************************************************************ **** *********

Amongst the poor families that have travelled the void, are many tens of thousands believers from the Independent Commonwealth who have made land fall on a exploited dirt ball know now as Esperance. Esperance developed as a source of raw materials for military industries, consequently soldiers, settlers, and criminals all rub shoulders. A few silent and near invisible men also haunt this Out-World. Their dire work for the Commonwealth and its Eurasian partners is operation of the "People's Re-education Facility". Not even a rumour exists of this prison which holds political prisoners from every nation. Its secrets would have been forever hidden had one of it's faithless curators not found his way back to Islam. The unnamed jailer has set Esperance on a collision course with chaos, by facilitating a daring escapee. The Independent hard-line governor has now locked down Esperance system as a storm of local rebellion builds. He must deal with escapee who no doubt are tying to contact their kin - who backed by the United nations are likely unleash a mighty tempest over Esperance. Are they headed for the only free Star Port left in the system, the Small depot in Kent operated by the Oceanic Union? Join the hunt or assist the escapee in a romping stomping campaign across the Esperance star system using the Full Thrust & Star Grunt rule systems. There will be up to 7 Stargrunt and 5 Full Thrust games each day over three days. Figures, vehicles and starship minis will be supplied but feel free to bring your own. You can register for any or all three days play. Registration in advance is not mandatory but would be appreciated to help us plan. There is a nominal charge of $5:00 a day; payable on the day, to cover administrative costs. There are no prizes but there are 'incentives' for each days play. Further information is available via email from sneakin@netspace.net.au or from Eureka Miniatures on (03) 9568 4085.

As for APC's, please describe. I can supply that number of GW Eldar Falcon Grav Tanks. But nothing Treaded that looks OK, apart from some BMPs, Yz-501s etc.
