Can anyone help a poor fool?

Can anyone send me via personal E-mail (NOT via this glorious list) a
list of the commands one sends to the server. I have it set to nomail and I
cannot find the instructions (put away too safely?) to set it the other way so
that I receive the mail. Aggh, I knew relying on the archives was a fools
paradice!
