to even the odds in FB, we could declare it a BYOM event with no limit.
Between Tom, Jim and JP, I'd bet the enemy forces would feel pretty
cowed....

I'd suggest the Sunday morning slot - a good way to close out the Con.
Or Saturday night in place of the Beer Game of SG2.

I think Sunday morning would be preferred for this event. All of the larger
games with two time slots will be run on Saturday afternoon and evening. I
think you'll have necessary participants in the morning.

I'm sure Mr.Barclay forgets that between myself, Jim, and JP we have only 2
modest FB1 fleets. That's hardly enough to challenge even half the attending
Americans.

Mr.Barclay also forgets that some of us don't want to haul many thousands of
points of FT ships to the con.

Limits should probably be set and observed.

I was thinking of requiring the vistors to consume their beer as
they won it--sort of a progressive adjustment to keep things
balanced. However, if we're doing it Sunday morning, we may need another idea.

The CanAm Cup, to be kept by the victorious Admiral till next year.

--or--

(after some adjustment of fleet sizes) Bring your fleet (primed and maybe base
coated, no elegant paint jobs unless you're really
confident), and when you lose a ship--the victor keeps it!
That'll take care of morale rolls and "fight to the last man" orders.

I'm not really entirely happy with either of these, so let's get some ideas
from the rest of the list.

I think every time you lose a figure you ahve to do a shot, simulating the
confusion of war.

I still prefer my suggestion that the victorious takes the alcohol, adding
a constantly self-adjusting handicap...

However, 'tween the temperance group and folks, such as a friend here whose
meds don't allow tippling as well as someone like me that has a drink, say,
once every two-three months, that just don't drink, I'd say an event
like
this is best off-hours in a back room.

Even I'd be willing to take you on the next morning, though... ;->=

Obviously, not the only things to be 'primed' above...
