In 1993 (I believe) a company called DCP made some resin bridges of two sizes which were made specifically for OGRE stuff. Unfortunately there not easy to find these days. It wouldn't be too hard to scratch build something like these bridges though. I could take some shots of them if it would be of help.

Have you tried N-scale railroad bridges?

> I need a bridge to cover the gap over water in my Geohex terrain, Make it out of plastic. Any good hobby shop should have plastic cheet of various thicknesses -- I prefer Evergreen, which has sheets that are pre-scribed into squares, so you can break it into the size that you need without having to worry about cutting it. And Plastruct makes plastic girders, I-beams, and support struts that are used for model railroading or for architectural models -- again, any good hobby shop should carry this stuff. Use plastic glue to set something that looks appropriate to form the sides of the bridge, and there you are.

Roger, Ouch! I usually substitute some rough terrain transition pieces so I don't have to jump a big gap. I have some bridge models in the JR minis 28mm range that are wide enough for a MK V, but I thought they couldn't use bridges!! They just collapse them! Isn't there something about them having amphibious ability after MK III? KR [quoted original message omitted]

Yes, DCP did make the official Ogre terrain, but the bridges were designed to fit the ordinary military units, not an ogre. He may have had plans to build an Ogre size bridge, but I never saw one. KR [quoted original message omitted]

I'm not just after a bridge for Ogre though, it just happens to be the right width. I need a bridge for 40mm Fantasy Rules! stands and, of course, DS and SG. I'll take a look at the JR minis.

If you're looking for 40mm wide bridges any bridge that can be used for 15mm DBM/DBA games should work. (since FR! uses the same base width) I have such a bridge for DBM from Hovels I believe. (UK?) I think I ordered mine from Wargames (WV, USA). I can doublecheck it with an Ogre tonight. Hum, Ogre in DS, might be a good way to introduce the local players to the game, we already have plenty of the new Ogre minis. (are stats/suggestions already in the archive?). Intro: Came across GZG first in the excellent reviews in Mecha Press by DP9. Started out with Full Thrust first and now have DS & SG. (not played the other two yet but am putting together forces for them) Use mainly Micromachines and fleetscale B5 ships though I'm getting into the "official" miniatures now. Also a Piquet Heretic (join us join us). Hated it until about the third game or so when I learned to focus on what I wanted to do instead of what card was currently up. Anywho, hope this helps. I'll take a look for the bridge/Ogre when I can. (fighting a nasty cold at the moment and loving the wonderful Ohio weather O_o )

Caveat: This suggestion might work in this case, but it wouldn't work for
someone like me, with very poor scratch-building skills.

Hum, Ogre Check out http://www.ftsr.org/ds2/multiverse/fmaogre.asp where there's a conversion of the OGREs themselves. It requires a bunch of houserules, but if you want to downgrade the OGREs to fit within the main rules it will give you a start point.
