Hello all: I went to the B5 Wars page to see if AOG had posted any new info.
Low and behold they updated their page and added a new link that featured.GIFs
of finished minis from the initial release. The URL is:

As for my opinion of the mini's: All in can say is "WOW!!!!!"

I own one of the Minbari War Cruisers and all I can say is "fiddly"! The minis
are nice, but they are expensive ($24Aus for the capital
ships!!!!!!!)
and mine had a fair bit of flashing on it. It also had lots of fiddly
little antennae-cum-laser cannons that are a real pain to put on. But
it does look nice once put together and I am looking forward to painting it. I
hope the game is worth it.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. But the fighter minis I've seen in the store have
looked reasonably sharp.

I agree totally with Kelvin here (expensive, flashy, and lotsa little bits
to deal with - 'fiddly' is an excellent word!). I haven't put mine
together yet, though. I hope the Omegas won't be as bad.

Yeah, Games Unlimited had some ships. (All the ones with pictures on the web
site, anyways, plus some Minbari fighters) I had to put down several times a
blister of Star Furies that seemed to keep appearing into my hand. The Minbari
War Cruiser was huge and detailed, but I'm not going to lay out $12 for a mini
until I have more money, no matter how nice it is.

Oops. Sorry all! Didn't watch the headers, and haven't found enough people
around Pittsburgh to make it worth buying Full Thrust rules yet. @#$@
forwarded messages... grumble....

Which 'Mark' are you addressing this to? I think there are several of
us on here. ;-)
If me, Morgantown is...ummm...shade over 3 hours (3.5?) away. Tight for an
evening run if I work the next day, but it's possible to work something
out...

Ahhh, I just now saw the other mail from the Other Mark (in Pittsburgh). Silly
mail system, sends things in mixed up order sometimes... *poke*
BTW, Mark (Pittsburgh-dude), Aaron Teske is in Pittsburgh and plays FT,
if Morgantown is too far a drive (only half an hour for you I believe), or if
you want an alternate option. His email is:

I'm part of the group that plays in Morgantown and its only about 60 miles
from Pittsburgh, about an hour. We play Friday night...religiously.

I've noticed that too. Love reading the replies before the original
message....

Much as I appreciate the plug, I'm actually in Reading, PA for the summer.
(Anyone near there? Anyone going to be at the EPGS meeting next month?
Please?) And besides, Mark and I already know each other... we were, in fact,
roommates for a bit.
Here's the saga... (kill now if you don't care): since there is a good amount
of B5 fandom at CMU (that's Carnegie Mellon Univ. for those not in the know) I
forwarded the message about the B5 miniatures to a local bboard. Mark replied
to the bboard, but I guess the "resend" command
also keeps the original "reply-to:" marker, so he *also* replied to this
list. He doesn't actually read it; I think I'm the only one at CMU who does.
On the flip side, though, I did forward him the mail that Joe & Jerry posted,
about gaming in Morgantown; I'm not sure how much he's into FT right now, but
we'll see what happens. (And maybe I'll try getting out there sometime next
semester....)
Moral: watch your to: headers, as I didn't just recently, and also watch the
CC: header. (Hint, hint: I sent this to Mark as well.)
Now back to our regularly scheduled confusion.

Sorry, I was addressing the Mark in Pittsburg, which depending on what side of
the Pitt you live on could be 45min. to 1.5 hrs.
