B5 Fifth Season

I see Season 5 of B5 has finally been confirmed. And C4 are going to start
showing 4th Season from July 23rd. Suddenly life is worth living again...

Whats been happening on the B5 rules front recently? Anyone got any new ones
or updated their own?

If your talking about B5 Wars, so far it's been delayed till later this
month... again. The miniatures are available in several areas, excluding where
I usually shop. If your talking Full Thrust then I not quite sure. I do
believe that
Indy has added some more rules to his B5/FT page.  I'm planning on
updating my rules here and there. I'm adding "scatter" rules to the energy
mines, making EA interceptors work like ADAFs rather than PDAFs (this was a
major complaint from the people I was playing with), and updating my ships. If
there have been any other updates to any of the other rules, please let me
know.

Not so fast. My understanding is that Warner isn't doing the fifth season, but
Turner's TNT cable station has decided to bank roll it for the final season.
The question is now whether or not the show will be syndicated. This is
probable, but not fully decided. It could be that TNT will be the only place
to see it. On this assumption, a few of us have already started setting up a
B5 network of video tapes. My wife and I might end up getting TNT from our
local cable supplier if that's the only place it will run.

On rec.games.frp.misc, it was announced that the B5 miniatures rules for the
RPG will be released officially at GenCon (Aug. 9 to 12).

Two quickies: 1) I'll be at Westercon in Seattle this weekend, the 4th.

2) I've been flooded by people decrying the notion that since the fifth year
of B5 will only be available on TNT, they won't get it.

Let me clarify this here, and save myself a lot of private mail.

It will only be on TNT ***IN THE UNITED STATES****. The foreign market is
essential to WB making its bucks on the show. So of *course* they're going to
make it available in other markets. The whens I don't know, and never do, but
they're not going to let it go. It's no different than the show being
available only on PTEN affiliated stations IN THE US. It has *nothing* to do
with foreign markets.

I was at Westercon this weekend. Saw jms. Met up with Matt Seidl. He says hi
to all (dunno if he's got email access yet; he's supposed to at some point
here). Played a few games of FT (Superior ships, Dean, using yours and his
rules).
