The cascading damage rule is a nice rule and one I'd say should be in the next
edition as an option, it sounds right and certainly has the right feel from
the B5 battles on the screen.

I have a query though, the cacscade roll in the text says 'greater than' the
previous threshold row roll, but the example is 'equal to' the previous
threshold row roll.

so should it be 'greater or equal' or is the example wrong?

On interceptors, these function like the shields in FT, I don't agree that
with them doubled up and only hitting on a 6 that this 6 does the reroll and
double damage. I would have thought it more realistic if it did the usual 1
damage point. Basically its saying if any fire gets through the screen, its
always a penetrating hit, it just doesn't make sense, to me. Chances are if it
gets through the screen barage its broken up and pretty ineffective.

I found the EFSB combat rules very hard to read and not a
patch on the layout in FT/MT.

I think the graphical design was pretty naff. The metal plate bleed out and
background graphics make it really hard to read. There aren't enough pictures
and the tables are too small and difficult to interpret. There are also too
many forward references (although they do give the page numbers).

As I understood the basic mechanics of the game already I stood a chance, I
think a lot of people will be confused as some of the rules aren't very clear.
Especially the minbari (FT) movement system, its very very hard to decipher
it. FT explained it in a much better way with a better description and
diagrams.

The examples however do help, and are well done.

Also the EF Corvette side view - looks nothing like the silhouette
on the SSD. The side view looks like a cut down Omega, the SSD a cut down
Hyperion, which is it? Also the Side view is covered with huge guns that look
like massive Beam Batteries but its only got pulse cannons on the SSD. It also
has 18 pulse cannons in the text and only 12 (counting arcs as a cannon) on
the SSD.
