Oh, yes there are! Hobbygames are bringing them in, whether "legally" or
through a US distributor as grey imports I don't know, but they are
certainly available to shops if they want them - a couple of the regular
traders at the UK shows carry them, as do quite a few shops (Orky has some, so
do Caliver Books, and even my local comics shop has a few in!). Ones like the
T'loth and Hyperion are around £9.95, but the Bin'Tak is sixteen
quid.....

Sixteen quid! Luxury! Out here in the lands of Oz, we get charged $40 for the
Bin'Tak and a whopping $45 for the Octurian! Sixteen Quid!?! Luxury!
Wish they'd extract the digits and release the Nova Dreadnaught and White
Stars though.....

Except that instead of being the $10 (Aus) they were speculating about at
first they will likely be over $20 (Aus). Boom goes my idea of amassing my
White Star Fleet to scare the pants off of opponents.
I've seen the rip-off casting of the white star and while it's close to
the mark, it just dosen't make it in my mind.

No idea of why, though.
Jared, I'm getting formatted posts with attachments from you. Please check
your mailer settings, OK?
Later,
OK, time for a poor yank to ask the immortal questions -
What the hell is a quid? where does the name come from? and why that instead
of something else?
(One response only please - I don't want to cause the list to flood)

Oh, bother! I know I had, along with others, delicious dreams of swapping for
items difficult to obtain here in the colonies.
Nicely wrapped in colorful paper and well-wishing card to indicate they
were JUST gifts...
Now, if I could just find those cheap Armorcast titans again. I bet I could
finally get the Katy Manning issue of Girls Illo.. ;->=
The_Beast
Dean - thanks for the heads up, I'll wait an see if this
drops the price as 16 quid is taking the piss (slang for mocking one) and I 'd
rather buy a GZG fleet pack for slightly less than the price of a single ship.
I'm still using Mike 'Art God' Wikan's B5 counters.
Out of interest are they anything like the B5W counters Mike did for AOG?
Mike did the designs and counters for the Narn Centauri War module for
B-5 Wars. The minitures are based on theses counters. The best two are
the Octurion and Bin'Tak. They're, and huge and look awsome.
I did those counters too as well as the original boxed edition counters and
about 90% of the original ship designs and illos in the book (and all the
maps)
