Has anyone heard hide nor hare from our glorious leader?
I figure he's just furiously shipping product, but I wanted to make sure he
wasn't in an Email "black hole."

I gave him my charge card for three FB2's (end of March), it hasn't been
charged yet. The corrected copies were supposed to be back from the printers
by April 5, IIRC, so I had expected to see something on my statement by now...

Does yesterday count?

April 5th? That's only 3 work days after the day the mistake was discovered...
sounds *very* optimistic. I never saw any definite date,
but Jon said the re-print would take a couple of weeks.
Which have passed now, and the new FB2s are shipping at the moment :-)

Yes

Something he said implied that it would be within the week after April 1,
which I agree would be quick but perhaps feasible. I wasn't complaining about
delay, just wondering if St^3 Jon was okay.

Which means it'll arrive here at the same time as my mother in law. Sigh.

I would figure that that is a good thing. You have something to read while at
the dinner table or sitting in the living room.
Actually, my package arrived today. My wife just called to tell me
that--and that she's hiding it until I replace the bathroom floor.

True.
But if his wife has already received the package and is now hiding it from him
until a household task is completed....
This is not a good thing.
So, Laserlight, your mother-in-law is coming. Your wife has
the FB2 and won't give it to you.
I've been told that bad luck runs in threes. Is there anything else you need
to tell us?

Waiting is painful. For I it is doubly so for I wait not only for FB2, but for
the rest of the ships I ordered to fill in the gaps in my Phalon fleet, a
group that resembles more of a squadron than a fleet at the moment (and I
might even have most of them done the time
GenCon rolls around - will wonders never cease).

Well, the visit is the reason for the insistence on getting the floor done
(not to mention $2000 worth of landscaping, a new
garage door--never buy a Wayne-Dalton door, the instructions are
the worst I've ever seen for anything--the other bathroom floor,
the carpets shampooed, and probably more things I'm too
traumatized to recall--I thought our house was in pretty good
shape until about 6 weeks ago, when my wife informed me differently) was Mum's
visit. I'd say that counts for more than three in and of itself.
However, she didn't hide it as well as she thought.
:-)

I got a fax from Jon yesterday in which he stated that indeed, his email DOES
appear to be orbiting a black hole!
