I wish I could find some of the Zion and Federation ships from Mobile Suit
Gundum. Some small Mechs in the Super Hvy Fighter role would be a nice rules
addition too.

New Rule Concept?

As far as rules, those sound good. Mobile suits are also portrayed using
hte vector movement system. As for figures, do what I did - spend some
time
converting (adding shields, blobs of putty for thrust packs) 6mm (1/300)

scale infantry, especially those from sci-fi lines. The GZG ones work
rather well, especially the NSL as their helmets have a very MS style.

For the really nasty MS and Mobile Armors, try designing them as small ships.

I actually found that the custom fighter rules found on the web (sorry. don't
have the addy available) were perfect for designing more detailed mecha.
Assigning names like Full Armor, Full Vernian, and Trop to suits

with specific combinations of features makes it easy to quickly add to and
modify a basic fighter design or convert your favorite designs to stat.

The really complicated thing (I never did figure out an equitable sollution)
are funnels and bits. I'm thinking that they should count as an extra attack,
made at a range from the Mobile Suit, bits having less range than funnels due
to their requirement for a physical coupling.
