A quick warning guys (and gal),

About a year or so ago a similar thread of individual's backgrounds in gaming
was quite popular, but it did drown out the game related topics so number of
people unsubscribing went way, way up. While I find it interesting to get the
background on the rest of the sane gamers here on the GZG list, please keep
the On Topic GZG related threads going.

Dean

(Who turns 33 on Sunday, started in this hobby in right after Star Wars came
out in '77 when I saw an ad in Boy's Life magazine from ALNAVCO on spaceship
miniatures, that game was Superior's Star Fleet Wars. After that got into
RPGs, mainly AD&D, but still kept on looking for more space games. Now into
the '90's I saw a review of Full Thrust in an issue of Vortex magazine, but no
one knew how to get a copy. A couple years later tried ordering it again and
got a copy, was hooked but no one to play with. Finally got access to the net
a few years ago, one of the first searches I did was 'Full Thrust' and I found
the Unofficial FT WWW Page and joined the list. Now I'm an official member of
the FT community with my name in the FB as a playtester and I get to run FT
games at GenCon for GeoHex, including the FT Tournament
;)

My first set of Napoleonic plastic miniatures was from a toy company who sold
several hundred in a box one side colored bright red and the other equally b
right blue. Very clunky, but I about wore them out gaming with them.
