Alternate primers

Subject: Alternate primers

While many people swear by auto body primer, etc., I've tried some
indoor/outdoor paints and lost detail.  My friend used a brilliant white

artist spray paint. It worked wonderfully for 3 years, then started to flake
away...

Did you protect the model with a finishing coat like a matte or glow spray
finish? This will protect the paint from deterioration and use.
