Alternate Firing Arcs

All of the firing arcs in FB1 cover from odd-to-odd facings (1 to 3
o'clock, etc.). I was working on some new ship designs and thought that
even-to-even facing firing arcs would be useful. Namely 12 to 2 o,clock
and 10 to 12 o'clock.

Has anyone else used these arcs?

Will they be allowed under FT3 as standard or optional rules?

The even arcs are really only usefull for a 2 arc weapon, which then needs it
to face directly front. Otherwise, I've found the "odd" arcs to be quite
satisfactory.
