Exactly. The tanks already have decals on them. I'm not so worried about edges
showing, I'm more concerned about the decals lifting off.

I'd not expect any show on the edges of the decals; most are almost
microscopic. Still, I'm a worrier, and some seem as stiff, and thick, as
cardboard.

By the way, has anyone tried using acrylic floor polish as a 'magic water' in
terrain? I tried using a 'cheap imitation' from a dollar store that dried, but
never got fully solid. Has anyone tried this with Future? Found anything other
than the stuff at model train stores for the purpose?
