Unless Ted comes forward I guess I am the Unofficial Official Contact. If I could get an estimated head count for an October event, I'll look at venues. Based on Ted's research most hotels maybe prohibitive ($X00.00 per day) but other venues (VFW, Community Rooms) may not be centrally located for travelers (as opposed to Travellers:)). Your input will allow this to happen. Ted pretty much pulled the 1st one out of his pocket, not sure the rest of us could do that. Michael Brown [quoted original message omitted]

But that leaves out those western states not actually ON the coast. The most logical choice geographically is also probably the least feasible financially - Vegas. I-15 would pull in folks from So Cal AND the northern mountain states, and there are fairly straight shots to it from Idaho and northern CA as well. Reno might be an alternate option, and a lot of the little regional airlines have cheap tickets to there.

Anyone in the Silver State want to carry the torch? Possibly at one of the lesser hotels (Reno Ramada, etc.)? Michael Brown [quoted original message omitted]

They are nice, but seem like small consolation. "My friends battled the KV to a glorious death, and all I got was this shirt." But they already have me thinking about things for a possible WCC. I'm gonna have to keep up the dialogue about that. > --- Jon Davis <davisje@nycap.rr.com> wrote:
