O.k., the new list should be up and ready. Sorry for the delay.
So, to subscribe to the new list send email to majordomo@csua.berkeley.edu
with the following alone on a line in the body:
subscribe gzg-l
if you want the email to go to a different address than your sending address,
use the following line:
subscribe gzg-l THE_ADDER_YOU_WANT_MAIL_TO_GO_TO
For the digest version, replace gzg-l with gzg-digest in the above
lines. I went with -digest instead of -d because it turns out some of
the scripts I use expect the -digest. Oh well.
If you notice any problems or such in the new subscriber message or in general
please let me know. There's always at least one bug in a new list, and I want
to get it fixed as fast as possible.

I was just thinking that I should have said something about this.
For now, posts to the old list stay there, and posts to the new list stay
there. I would giev people about 48 hours to vacate the old list before really
starting to post to the new one. Jon has asked that the move be expidited (if
I'm wrong on this, please correct me Jon).
So, I'd say Wednesday would be a good cross-over day. It gets a
little strange with the US Thanksgiving Holiday Thursday though. But I think
its manageable.

No, that's about right. I would like (if at all possible) to have as many
people as possible moved over by the end of the week. Therefore I would
suggest we begin the winding down of the old list on Wednesday.

Oh wow. I still can't believe we've reached this point. I know it isn't a list
shutdown, just a change but it still feels... weird.
Anyways, HTML archives will be maintained of both lists. I haven't decided
how, if in any way, this will effect the organization of the archives. (I'll
probably archive both lists for a while...)
Once again, a public 'Hurrah!' to Jon and Bolton for running this list, and a
moment to remember Adam Delafield.
Thanks all,
J.

OK, done. So... what's the address of the new list? I guess
gzg-l@csua.berkeley.edu , but I managed to delete the previous posts :-/
So... Thanks a lot, Jon!
Matthew, you have the con!

I just want to second this. Jon has done an admirable job taking up a hat
thrown into his ring by a terrible accident. I hope I can manage to follow in
the great traditions left by the former list maintainers.
And, on a lighter note. Now that the list is being rin from Berkeley,
CA USA. Does this mean we'll see more Free Cal-Tex stuff? :)

aha! you have the wrong end of the stick, my colonial friend: this is but the
