I'm trying out a modification to majordomo that should improve list
performance. The goal is to reduce the turn arround time of messages, i.e. the
time from the system getting a message to it attpeting to deliver it to
everyone on the list should be reduced.
Please let me know if you notice a marked decrease in the time it takes for
you to get your own messages back from the list, or you see the delay in
getting list messages reduced.

I was getting messages back in the same session I sent them anyway. What's
next--get them before I send them? Would save typing.

well, i should imagine that most of the latency on the list is due to the time
taken for the mails to cross the space between berkeley and the listizen.
unless you're doing something really clever, surely modifications to majordomo
are of minor importance?

Funny, the reversed order seemed to have settled down, until you made the
mods.

I'm seeing far more replies preceding originals just today.
Mental tack? Bounds! Right up there with Lemon Curry?
