I would think this would be an Atkinsonian wet-dream universe:
AD 2978 The petty conflicts of the early 3rd milennium have long since
vanished, national distinctions virtually eliminated, Kra'vak reduced to slave
labor. Only one power stands between Rome and galactic domination: the
Persians. Risen from the ashes of self destrictive zealotry of the Islamic
Federation, the ancient traditions strnegthened and unified the people.
Unbound by tradition in space, they proved valiant, cunning and inventive. The
fleets number tens of thousands of ships. A thousand worlds lie in the
balance. To whom with the galaxy belong?

Any Muslim would be horrified by the thought that Persian Achemenid tradition
could come out of Islam.
