> Gee...I wonder what fleet everyone here collects..;-) Well, I haven't picked up any Starships (yet...), but I am trying to come up with an infantry company using NAC troopers (It is a four squad platoon (plus command squad), four platoon company, so technically it isn't NAC...), and a supporting Power Armor platoon. Otherwise, the lead aI have bought is old and discontinued miniatures, like 25mm Battletech support personnel and Mechwarriors, as well as Millenium's End and CyberPunk fig's (for the irregulars/terrorists) I might have a number of squads to use for recon scenarios, perhaps a couple mercenary or irregular platoons... Dirtside, well, I'll wait till I read the rules (I finally got a copy of the rules.....)

Excerpts from FT: 29-Jul-97 ACH! DER NSL IS IN DER HAUS.. by "Mike Wikan"@n-space.com > Gee...I wonder what fleet everyone here collects..;-) Gothic Imperial? (aka, Space Fleet Imperial ships, though I've got a handful of Eldar as well.) Actually, I have to agree with Rick Rutherford, I collect whatever looks good. The thing that got me into miniatures wargaming in the first place was an offhand purchase (and subsequent painting) of an Eldar Wraithship, just 'cause it looked cool. This led to some looking into 40K background, then picking up Squats in Epic, then buying bundles of Space Fleet minis wherever possible, then (finally) hearing about Full Thrust. A roundabout whole quite enjoyable (if expensive) route. ^_^

If you don't like a particular mini, then it will make your fleet look bad in your own mind as well as the fact that you probably won't do as good a job painting as you don't like it in the first place. My fleet looks really rag-tag because of all the different ship designs from FSE, NAC, ESU, NSL, B5 & Star Wars Micro Machines and converted Epic Minis, but you tie them together with a common paint scheme and there you have it. I like the rag-tag look of my fleet as I gives it character and a feel of being a mercenary fleet. Either getting whatever they can or only getting the best money can buy, whatever the design.
