Subject: A Kids game...

I have created a child's space combat game using my Star Wars counters. My
6-year old Son and I played a fleet battle involving Two Star
Destroyers, 12 Squadrons of TIE fighters, Bombers, Interceptors, 1 Mon Cal
cruiser, 2x Nebulon B Frigates, 2xBlockade Runners and 6 Squads of Rebel
Fighters. Took about 30 mins to play.

Would anyone be interested in me putting it on the Web for download?

Please! My 4 and 6 year olds would love it!

Sure, why not? I'm interested! It might contain some interesting ideas that
could be put into other games and it could be an entertaing "beer and
pretzels" game.

well, by public acclaim, this is within the remit of GZG-L, so the GZG-L
Hypertext Agora (i thought maybe a flashy name would help publicise it) is
perhaps the place:

http://members.xoom.com/gzg_l/sw_lite

to put stuff up:

ftp://ftp.xoom.com
user=gzg_l
pass=nacesu

bung it in the folder called sw_lite.

if it only took thirty minutes to play, yeah:) perhaps a way to quickly
resolve space battles in our RPG games

As they say...Life happens when you are making other plans...:)

The name/fleets sound cool! Will there be stats on these two fleets?
Or is the game so simple that "cruiser is a cruiser"?

Got sidetracked this weekend...It will be going up on my Strike Vector page as
"Strike Vector Lite" and initially includes the Fleets of the Terran Republic
and the Matok Raiders..

You know... Once the public gets ahold of it, We could keep adding things to
it, and eventually come up with a competitor to Full Thrust! 8D

Seriously, the game does sound fun.

Actually they are different. If someone wants to play similar forces, just
use the same fleets. The Humans use a conventional BB/CA/CV/DD style
fleet
while the Matok use a Mothership/PT boat style arrangement.

What kind of project is it? Is it a game that we might be interested in?
