Subject: A-battery mini-survey results
Here's the follow-up on the survey question I asked. Of 10 respondents: 4 chose option 2 (4 x 2-arc A's); 2 chose option 3 (3 x 3-arc A's); 1 chose option 1 (6 x 3-arc A's... he'd mount them all forward); 2 said they thought that all three options were of equal worth; 1 quibbled the question (evidently an ex-public-schoolboy). Of the few subsidiary issues I raised, two people said they'd switch from option 2 to option 3 if rear-arc fire was allowed. The general consensus of those who considiered it, was that their chosen option was worth about 6 3-arc B's. Which generally has served to confirm my (unoriginal) idea that beams are worth N + (N x arcs) points/mass (whatever). Thanks to all respondents.
