Use an old, tiny (detail) brush and clip the bristles so that they begin to get a bit stiff due to their shortened length. Water down your paints _slightly_ more than usual and prepare the brush with paint as if you're getting ready to drybrush. Instead of sweeping the bristles over the details, stab them straight onto the model where you want to apply the color into the camo pattern. Repeat with different colors to get your pattern. Patience is important as you want to build up the color gradually, just like drybrushing, except in a spot instead of on the raised areas. Make sure than when you're stabbing that you're not making the bristles splay out all over the model.
