Subject: 6 mm scale Mechas for DS 2 - picking brains (yours)

Looked at Jeremy Olsen's "Advanced Walker/Mech Rules for Dirtside 2" and
decided to use some of that for the Incorporated Japanese Kingdom (the HEL
users) but need some help with "Mecha makers" and such.

Okay, does Irregular make Mechas or figures (robots?) that could pass for
Mechas?

The rules mentioned above divide mechs into classes 1 through 5 and give
examples of the figures for each size. DS 2 normally uses only class 1
and 4-7 in the standard rules; and no, I don't know why the 2-3 sizes
are not used.

Size 1 is "Infantry Walkers" (1/4" to 5/8" tall - I am using Battletech
PA figures and some GZG Infantry Walkers.

Size 2 is FASA Protomechs ( I have some BT figures with the birdlike
masks.) 3/4" to 1 1/4". Pretty much 'very light' walkers for DS 2.

Size 3 - FASA "Light Mechs" - 1 3/8" to 1 5/8" (I have a Commando and a
Piranha in this category.)

Size 4 - 1 3/4" to 2" (I plan to get one or both of the GZG Mecha
Carnage figures for this class. Currently nothing. *) FASA "Medium Mechs"

Size 5 - 2" to 2 3/8" -FASA "Assault Mechs" and "Heavy Mechs" -
Currently none.*

Size 6 - Over 2 3/8" tall. FASA "Heavy Mechs". Currently None. *

Size 7 - not used although GW Epic Titans suggested if you want them in
the game. None and none planned.

I have two questions.

1) For size 5 and/or 6 - what mechs might be chosen from the BT lines
that would compliment the Commando/Piranha look?

2) * I have two "Bishamon" (spelling) Quadrupeds - what class should
they be since with legs fully flexed they are almost as tall as the "Class
3's" I currently have?

Any sources for Mechs for 6 mm use besides the one mentioned above?

How about 15 mm and/or 25 mm robots (I will have to take a look at
Reviresco and consider them) for use as Mechas for 6 mm games?

Gracias,

(This is assuming they haven't changed the Commando or Piranha since I last
saw one, as oddly, the IronWind metals site doesn't have pics of those two.)

The current Heavy Gear line
(http://www.dp9.com/Products/decalminisHG.htm) is
good. It's not 6mm, but the Gears are small, so they can work well for larger
mechs in 6mm.

The Steel Warriors sprues from eM-4 minatures
(http://www.em4miniatures.com/sci-fi.html) are nice, plus the limbs are
mix'n'match. You can do a very passable "not-quite-a-Rifleman" for
example.

The CAV line from Reaper is also nice. Big, but nice.

The old Starsiege minis from AoG can still sometimes be found on eBay or in
stores.

The various GZG powered armor troops in 15mm might work, in particular the
Japanese powered armor.

The GZG Japanese powered armor in 25mm would also fill the bill.

These two look nice (Saw them first at eM-4 but these are better pics):
