Hi All,

I'm looking for Starship Trooper bugs other than the basic warriors. I'm
looking for:

* Tanker Bug (plasma spitter) * Hopper (flyer) * Acid Bug (from CGI Roughnecks
Chronicles)

sites with pics are preferrable.

thanks,

I have a few packs of the ST bugs. Bigger than 6-10mm though.

Beth floated this URL around sometime ago, it looks like it may have what you
are looking for:

http://members.tripod.co.uk/pendraken/index.html

The Sci Fi stuff is way down at the bottom of their fantasy page.

G'day Dave,

Sorry no pics (though the pics they have of their other ranges suggest their
bugs are good), but try:

http://members.tripod.co.uk/pendraken/index.html

The bugs are under the Fantasy/scifi link ane then at the bottom of the
page.

Cheers

Beth

[Complaint Mode ON]

What is it with a lot of these miniature companies with no pictures
for their sci-fi lines? With digital cameras and scanners so cheep you
would
think they could do it. Just do not understand :-(

[Complaint Mode OFF]

Sorry, but I had to ask :-)

I have bit of 'rep' on another list for just this same complaint - only
you were restrained <grin> - but seriously this is my PENULTIMATE
complaint about web based companies. I am a visual guy (started adult life in
nursing (visual assessments) then moved to Cartographer (Very Visual) before
what i have been morph'ed into currently.)

I expect to see it in 3D in a B&M shop before I pay for it. I should be
able to see a pic (with a size related object - ruler, coin, something)
before I order it on the web. No Compromise in this matter (except for
the Eureka design wishes - if they will make it just for me - and fellow
nuts - then I will buy it and enjoy it unseen until it arrives.

OK, I understand that some people are breaking copyrights and so

want to hide. Great, but they are not the norm. What about Adler
Miniatures and their Dark Star line or Scotia and all of their sci-fi
stuff? I could go on, but I think you understand my point.
If the company listing says "S'orhan High Orbital Re-entry
Vehicle" or "M62 Montgomery Earlier MBT" there is no way I will know what that
is without a picture. Let alone those who list says "Infantry in Power
Armour". And I am not rich enough to just order miniatures and hope I will
like them and want them.

(Wish I was though :-)

Daniel's point remains, at least for me, NO pictures means NO sales from me.
Again, custom created (Eureka) is an exception. Ditto if I could
find someone to do Nektons in 6mm - John McEwan e-mailed me a go ahead
to find a 6mm sculptor...

*And* if your 'model' is so close a copy that it invites copyright
infringement then maybe the lawyer is over-zealous, Or maybe your model
is an attempt to skirt copy right on purpose. [Yeah, that's harsh but is it
true? Yes, in some cases.]

I was wondering on that one myself. Not even vaguely.

Glenn,

Alan is thinking of GWs Necrons that are Biomechanical Cyber things (think
Terminator at the end of the first movie. The "old" Chaos Androids look like
the newer GW line called Necrons. You can see pictures of Necrons in 28mm on
the GW web site.

You are talking about Nektons that are a race of Amphibians IIRC.

Not the same at all.

Got it. Gracias. I never thought I would ever think about complaining
about too many choices - so I won't...

That would probably make sense. Necrons sound, well, chaotic, I guess.
