I'm looking for a 25mm figure in combat suit or battle armor with a helmet
that looks like it can fit a snout (as in a dog's snout)..... Any suggestions?
Other than Space Marines? I want to build a squad or three of Vargr from
Traveller to use in boarding scenarios once I get my 25mm deckplans done
(though we'll probably actually have gravitics by the time that happens).
Thanks, Jed Docherty

Hmmm.... that's a tricky one, because you'll really want a suit with
digitigrade legs as well, won' t you?
Does the old McEwan/Reviresco range do a Rauwoof in armour?

How about Rifts Coalition dog troops? Did they have an armored trooper
version? A trooper with a pooper scooper?
Geeze, where the heck did THAT come from?!? Somebody quick call in the NBS!

Well, getting the legs right would be nice, but I thought I'd be able to
settle for getting the helmet close, if I could even find that. Stan Johansen
apparently has the Rauwoof molds now, but none of them have enclosed helmets.
Maybe I should try putting a Space Marine or Alternative Army Crusader head on
a GZG body - I'll bet that hasn't been done many times before!

Actually the Ral Wolfs (?) are in a ballistic helmet and would not be easily
converted to as a vac suited figure ( I looked at my figures). I tried to look
them up in my copy of space marines but the rules have been misplaced (missing
presumed lost in one of my moves over the years perhaps).
Actually I am wondering what is your problem? Get any figure in a vac suit and
use green stuff or any other modeling putty to extend the helmet. Guess you
could say all those bipeds look alike in a vac suit.
stan johansen miniatures makes some true 25mm scale "dog soldiers" for
the OOP SPACE MARINE rules (FGU, not GW!) called RAU-WOOFs.
i remember that the doggies have full combat gear, body armor, with open faced
but visored helmets.
poses are for rifleman, SAW gunner, PML gunner and loader, officer, and
maybe a com-tech. the toys go back to about 1980, so they are pre-GW
HUGE, and have what was considered nice detailing for way back then.
johansen also makes space going kangaroos, bears, flightless birds, crabs, and
some humans, too.
do not have the url but a search of the www will bring up his home page.

The following gets you to the Rau-woofs:

Whenever I do a search for Stan's site, I'm always adding an 'N', or changing
'E' to 'O'...
