For anyone interested in 2300 you could try these pages as a starting point.

Make sure to look at the magazine article scenarios Lone Wolf and 3 blind
mice. They may give you some ideas.

This last one is interesting as it provides information as to how the 2300
universe was developed by its designers using a wargame of sorts.

For anyone whos unfamiliar with the system I'll try and give a brief synopsis.

2300 AD_ is the second edition of _Traveller:2300_ a "hard science"
RPG (RolePlaying Game) produced in 1986 by GDW (Game Designer's Workshop).
Thanks to Dr.Emile Francois Jerome's "Stutterwarp" (an
implementation on the macro-scale of the tunneling effect exhibited
by electrons on the quantum level), mankind has reached the stars, colonized
over 40 planets, set up outposts on several more, and encountered at least
seven other intelligent alien races. One of these, the Kafer, has decided to
annihilate him.

The 3 major powers are the French, Americans and Chinese who each have their
own "arms" of space. The french arm has the misfortune to be nearest to the
Kafers. There is a fair degree of rivalry between the various major powers and
the many minor powers.

In my experience of various Rpgs I can safely say I never came across one
where the alien races were so nicely developed and realised. 2300 is very Hard
SF, nt always suitable for FT. Fleet actions are
somewhat uncommon. Its usually 1-2 ships a side engaging in battle.
Of course theres nothing to stop you changing this quite easily.

The only problem with the game is that its not in print anymore. Still if you
can find it its well worth getting just for the background material it
provides.

Hope you all find something of interest on these sites.
