First, pardon the two-list posting, which means some of you will get
this twice. To add to the fun, I'm probably going to post a version of this to
rec.games.miniatures.misc soon. Those of you who'll read this two or three
times, excuse me...
On to my point: I'm looking for names & addresses of companies that make 15mm
science fiction figs and stuff, suitable for playing GZG's StarGrunt
2.
Does GZG still make their line of 15mm vehicles and figs? (Jon, I know you're
out there...) Failing continued production, could you be induced to restart
production from your old molds?
Who else? I've borrowed a friend's old catalogs from TableTop Games, does
anyone have experience with their stuff?
Irregular Minis has a small line of 15mm SF, does anyone want to tell me what
they're like?
Beyond that, I really don't know who or what else is out there...there's loads
of 15mm historical, quite a bit of 15mm fantasy, but very little 15mm science
fiction.
I'm interested in lines currently in production, I know about the old
Traveller 15mm stuff, but it's no longer made and I want to be able to
continue buying from the same line as my budget allows...massive one-off
purchases are outside my reach, so I want a line that's going to be available
for a bit...
Thanks in advance,

We can (and do) still cast the two infantry packs that we released a few years
back (NAC and ESU squads), though we don't list them in the catalogue now. We
usually have a few packs around at shows in case anyone wants them. The old
15mm vehicle moulds have just about had it now (ther ARE over ten years old!).

TTG stuff is old designs, but nice - worth a look. FYI, most of them
were designed when Bryan Ansell was still at TTG, and were the forerunners of
the WH40K ideas...:)

Like most of Irreg's stuff, cheap and cheerful! Not very good, but you get a
lot for your money...

Peter Pig do a small but nice SF line.

'The future is now'
For you 15mm fans, it appears that Stan Johansen is back in business. On his
website at:
http://www.polomania.com/stan/
he has a good number of 15mm troopers and vehicles, including the reptilian
Hiss (VERY high-quality aliens) and some reworked Ral Partha's that I
still don't know how he gets away with. He also has some decent true 25mm
figures, with the (again, VERY nice) Hiss as well as some new Snake aliens.
And his 1/300 stuff is pretty good too, especially the GEV supply co.,
which has some excellent hovertrucks.
Stan's been around for a long while. Jenikintown used to rep him at
conventions, and he had the first GZG stuff that I've ever seen. He was the
guy I got that resin Troll model from, as a matter of fact.
WOW!! They kick ass...I will be ordering some of the 25mm stuff.

Just one thing...seeing the page led me to dig out my own 25mm Hiss, and they
are a bit smaller than I remembered. The top of their head reaches to about
neck level on a GZG figure. On the other hand they are sort of crouched. And
they might just be small aliens. Anyone care to recreate Turtledove's
"Worldwar" series?
Cool -- thanks for pointing these out. The Hiss Assault Infantry look
VERY mean.
And I like the Dirtside scale, too, thought he calls it Stargrunt. I think I
need a AA missile carrier and a Radar carrier (for counterbattery fire).
I think I'll definitely be placing an order -- I need just a few more
figs for my "Nuke St.Louis" scenario!
