Does anyone out there know how well 1/35th scale kits go with 25mm-28mm
minis? Just curious since I've never purchased a kit of that scale.

Thanks!

Not well at all. They'd be better for 54mm figures

Not to bad though it depends on what the kit is. A LONG time ago a bloke I
knew used a 1/35th scale Marder IFV with some GW squats in power armour
(these were very early squats, some of the first lot in fact), both were
painted up in red and orange camouflage (Mars being the inspiration). Looked
very good.

Depends how worried you are about scale. Jon T uses 1/60 as the scale
ratio for all the 25mm GZG vehicles. They look fine with all the figs in the
GZG
range (naturally). I would think that 1/35 scale models would be on the
big
side for 25mm/28mm. I quite happily mix 25mm and 28mm figs - but then
I've
never been too picky about scale. OTOH you might find some 1/35 models
will look OK with 25 or 28mm figs. At the end of the day, beauty is in the eye
of the beholder....

It all depends what you do with them. Given that a lot of SF vehicles are
often depicted as much bigger than contemporary AFVs, then something like a
1/35 Sheridan, Marder etc with some conversion to the hatches, an added
hover-skirt or grav modules or similar, makes a great _BIG_ tank/APC for
25/28mm SF.
But, they're much to big to really be used for what they actually are -
if you want something to serve as a light tank or small APC, then look to
1/48
models - there are some very nice (and cheap) Chinese-made ones on the
market.
